Milanello Special: Ac Milan First 2012/2013 Training Session Report
Ac Milan finally begin their new season's adventure on Monday, July 9, starting the first training session at Milanello, along with introducing some of Rossoneri's summer signings, Francesco Acerbi, Kevin Constant and also Bakaye Traore.
Obviously not all of the new players are available, since Riccardo Montolivo is still being given a holiday after his participation at the recent Euro 2012 tournee, where he performed very well for Gli Azzurri.
With several absentees in the 'Raduno', Milan called up their primavera players who is given quite a lot of time to impress Massimiliano Allegri and potential playing time for the new season. Aside from those who are missing due to Euro and also Olympic preparation, Massimiliano Allegri also felt a fresh atmosphere with so many new faces training while some old personnel already departed from the squad earlier this summer.
Without the 'Senatores', it was a really youngish look during the training session, especially since there are many primavera kids being given opportunities in the Raduno. The Euro 2012 representatives are reportedly scheduled for a return on July 24, but those involved in Olympic such as Thiago Silva and Alexandre Pato, won't be back until they represented their country, which means those two are not joining Milan's USA Tour later this month.
All in all, it was a pretty similar opening day at Milanello, where the regular 'Ultras' embracing their idols, while some other fans are taking their first opportunities in getting players' autographs. Coach Allegri started the session with regular athletic stuffs added with some technical ball movement drills before eventually dividing two teams, who played against each other by the end of training session.
In an interview before the session started, Allegri, accompanied by captain, Massimo Ambrosini and vice president, Adriano Galliani, spoke to the media explaining the club's planning over the new season. Not much new input to take aside from the willingness in working much harder next season, especially with a very new Milan look, which are dubbed as the youngest from this last few years. Regarding the transfer market, Galliani revealed that anything could still happen and the Rossoneri will obviously have a very competitive squad before the new season starts.
